چکیده
This paper presents the development of a composite cold-formed steel (CFS)-rubberised concrete (RuC) semi-rigid moment-resisting connection suitable for framed building structures. The comprises built-up tubular beam and column sections connected using side-plate screwed fasteners infilled with rubberised concrete. A detailed finite element analysis validated against physical tests is employed to model both bare beam-to-column connections subjected lateral gravity loadings. governing design limit states are characterized as local buckling in beams, screw shear failure, side plate plasticity. It shown that strength ductility capacity could be increased by up 1.44 3.46 times, respectively, compared those connections. rigidity can classified joint.

Review on Cold-Formed Steel Connections
The concept of cold-formed light steel framing construction has been widespread after understanding its structural characteristics with massive research works over the years. Connection serves as one of the important elements for light steel framing in order to achieve its structural stability. Compared to hot-rolled steel sections, cold-formed steel connections perform dissimilarity due to the...
متن کاملCyclic Behavior of Cold-Formed Steel Stud-to-Sheathing Connections
This series of experiments aims to characterize the cyclic behavior of cold-formed steel (CFS) stud-to-sheathing connections. This connection provides the key energy dissipating behavior in wood sheathed CFS shear walls, and provides bracing to the studs under gravity and out-of-plane loads. A simple testing rig is developed consisting of two CFS lipped channels facing toe-to-toe connected on t...
متن کاملStructural behavior of cold-formed stainless steel bolted connections
This paper presents a series of tests on cold-formed stainless steel bolted connections. The test specimens were fabricated from three different types of stainless steel, including austenitic stainless steel EN1.4301 (AISI 304) and EN1.4571 (AISI 316Ti having small amount of titanium) as well as lean duplex stainless steel EN1.4162 (AISI S32101). The material properties of the three types of st...
متن کاملNon-Linear Behavior of New (FSFN) Moment Resisting Connections in Comparison to the Existing KBB Connections in Steel Frames
After Northridge (1994) and Kobe (1995) earthquakes, several studies have been conducted to improve the seismic performance of steel structures. In this investigation, new steel moment-resisting connections (FSFN) developed by the authors, were studied by the non-linear numerical analysis. These connections were single-sided beam-to-column assemblies that are representative of exterior beam-to-...
متن کاملExperimental Investigation on Cold-Formed Steel Foamed Concrete Composite Wall under Compression
A series of tests on cold-formed steel foamed concrete (CSFC) composite walls subjected to axial load were proposed. The primary purpose of the experiments was to study the mechanical behavior and identify the failure modes of CSFC composite walls. Two main factors were considered in this study: 1) specimen with pouring foamed concrete or without and 2) different foamed concrete density ranks (...
